Digitally Different Photography Exhibition opens Wednesday 8 March 2023

HEDON VIEWFINDERS presents the Digitally Different Photography Exhibition at the Hedon Museum opening on Wednesday 8th March at 10am and then open every Saturday and Wednesday from 10am – 4pm until Saturday 29 April.
24 members of the Hedon-based photography club bring around 50 *fine art images for the delight of visitors. Ray Duffill from the club, said: “I think it will be the best-ever exhibition staged by the club. The photographs are beautiful! They really reflect and represent the entire club with its diversity of members and photographic interests. It’s a collection of photographs that the club is proud of, and we hope they serve to inspire many visitors, both young and old, to get out with their cameras and phones and take more and better photos.
“Our youngest exhibitor is 13 years old – and our oldest is in his 90’s. Photography really is for everyone, and the club exists to encourage people in their own photographic journeys of discovery.”
The club has been preparing the exhibition for several weeks and members were challenged to produce work to a ‘digitally different’ theme. Many of the pieces are printed on Hahnemühle Bamboo which is an inkjet paper made from 90% bamboo fibres and 10% cotton, offering an environmentally friendly printing option. Bamboo paper particularly suits photographs with a painterly look and complements the matte and gloss effects you’d expect to find in a photography exhibition.
