Task 48 – Mark VE Day 75 for posterity!

Record this day in photographs and video for posterity. Future generations will look back at the shots we take today with as much curiosity as we look at photos of VE Day in 1945. We’ll help build and contribute to larger collections and galleries of photographs marking this day.

Task 48 – A Day Off…!

It’s Bank Holiday Friday 8 May 2020 the 75th Anniversary of Victory in Europe. Perhaps one of the most unusual and unique ‘days off’ in history, overshadowed as it is by our common foe today – coronavirus.

Record this day in photographs and video for posterity. Future generations will look back at the shots we take today with as much curiosity as we look at photos of VE Day in 1945.

Tributes will be paid from our generation to those of the Second World War generation who gave so much service and sacrifice during those turbulent times from 1939 – 1945. And, from the safety of your home, it is hoped that you will join in with marking the occasion.

Email your photos of #VEDay75 to us at viewfinders-ttl@gmx.co.uk and we’ll help build and contribute to larger collections and galleries of photographs marking this day.
