The Night Sky is the Week Eighteen challenge
THE NIGHT SKY is the Week Eighteen Creative Photography 52 project challenge brought to you by the Hedon Viewfinders photography club.
Whether it is cityscapes or landscapes, the night sky can provide a stunning backdrop or be the main feature in photographs. Whether the light sources are from human-made lamps in an urban setting or the heavenly glow of the moon and stars, there are endless photography possibilities. Perhaps nighttime portraits are something you would like to try. With a full moon this week maybe it is that celestial body that will be your light?
We have a sunrise/sunset challenge later in the year, so avoid those as subjects. The challenge is designed to encourage photographers to explore different aspects of the night sky, experiment with different photography techniques, and get creative with their compositions.
Your prompts today are from Ray Duffill. “With a full moon this week, maybe that will be your subject and/or light?“
Email your best shot to viewfinders-ttl@gmx.co.uk or rlduffill@gmail.com and please put Creative 52 Week 18 as the subject. Remember to include your name and a title for the image.
The challenge is open from today until next Thursday. Entries each week will be published on the Hedon Viewfinders website, and the best will appear in the Holderness Gazette.
WEEK 17 REVIEW: TIME. – Surprisingly there were not many entries this week. Do remember the Refer a Friend scheme if you see a photo from anyone fitting the themes. The favourite was Lynn Leedham’s Sands of Time creation. See all of the TIME ENTRIES.
Look out for more interesting challenges. Week 20 is the colour White whilst next week 19 is the intriguing subject of Chaos!
