Wednesday 12 April 2023. Alphabet & Anagrams.
SOMETHING DIFFERENT for Wednesday’s meeting at the Haven Arms at 7pm.
“Everyone will be given a letter of the alphabet and some anagrams for Wednesday’s Mission.
“There will be 1 hour to complete the mission and all members should have enough images to post their favourite 5 to the Facebook Group page. At 9 pm on Sunday, I will pick the best of all the images posted.
“The night will end up with a photography quiz which will have questions for all levels of ability.”

Minimalist Photography with Judy Hancock Holland 4 pm Sat 17 June via Zoom. By RPS – Digital Imaging Group.![]() Minimalist photography is a powerful medium that aims to convey the “soul” or essence of a subject, whether the subject is a person, an object, a place, or even a feeling. It involves stripping away everything in the image that doesn’t contribute to the essential vision of the photographer. Any camera, even a phone, can be used to create minimalist photographs. The more important part of the equation is seeing deeply into the subject. This is something that can be practised even without a camera; it’s a matter of tuning into a scene or subject in a very focused way. We must slow down and notice shapes, lines, light, form, and especially our own feelings in the moment, and then distil the composition down. The result is often emotionally evocative. Tickets for this online event are free for RPS Digital Imaging members. But everyone is welcome, with tickets for non-members £3. |
