CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY 52, is the new challenge in association with the Holderness Gazette that aims to inspire you with ideas of things to capture with your camera or phone.
The new challenge for Week 7 is MAKE UP which opens from today until next Thursday. Can you come up with an imaginative or unusual photo taken to meet the subject? This image to prompt your creative juices was created by Dave Hook.
Use the hashtag #Viewfinders52 to share your submission on social media. And do encourage others to have a go at this fun weekly challenge.

Bring out the brass band for our top image this week which was this creation of note by Nigel Robson. There were six guitar shots submitted this week – all of them very good. I particularly liked the close-up on one of the guitar bits by Rick Naylor which added that abstract element.

MEETING WEDNESDAY 22 FEBRUARY – Selection of Exhibition Photos!
This is the last call for all Viewfinders to enter a piece of work for the Digitally Different Exhibition which opens at Hedon Museum on Wednesday 8 March 2023. Bring your ideas (preferably as prints) to the meeting at the Haven Arms on WEDNESDAY 22 FEBRUARY at 7pm. We need to see your images first and then the club will take care of A3 printing and mounting.
The countdown to the opening of our Exhibition is on. Starts 10am Wed 8 March.
PRESTON SHOW OPEN PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION.
The themes for this year’s competition have been announced:
- Landscape and seascapes
- Pets and Wildlife
- Transport
- Black & White
The competion will be judged at thr Preston Show and Family Fun Day at the Nag’s Head, Preston on Saturday 5 August 2023.
