WEEK 23 of 52-Week Photography Challenge – FANTASIA
Mythology, magic and fairy tales. Create an image that fits the theme. You might create a still life of magical objects, or visit a real-life scene that could be a setting for a fairy tale or home to fairies and elves. You could photograph something that depicts the theme. You might create an image that makes us believe in magical powers!
Your challenge: Have fun and use your imagination to create fantasia.
- Wed 8 June at 7pm will be an informal networking meeting with an opportunity for practice and skill sharing. Bring your camera and kit if you have questions about settings and use. We ask more experienced members to bring their kit bags and reveal all their secrets about what they carry on photographic excursions in “What’s in my kit bag!?”
- Wed 15 June is already looking to be a busy meeting when Mike Covell speaks on “East Yorkshire Defences in World Wars”. Please arrive by 6.45pm for a prompt 7pm start. A collection will be taken at the meeting to cover costs.
- Wed 22 June, 7pm. Old images – rescued and brought back to life! The talk is by Dave Prideaux who presents a selection of his restored and digitised images – also a look at some of his extraordinary aerial photographs.
New weekly photography game:
Wednesdays will also feature our new weekly photography tasks game. Pick out your own random challenge and enter into the competition album on our Facebook Group. Not on Facebook? You should still be able to see our public page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/166927467046058/ at the preceding link. If Facebook adds any additional text as it tries to encourage you to sign up to it, click at the end of the link in your browser and backspace delete letters until you see the link exactly as highlighted. You can then see the competition album and email your votes and entry each week to firstname.lastname@example.org (this is what I’ll be doing – Ray).
Check out our Key Dates page. We’re adding new stuff each week!
