IT’S AN OLD FAVOURITE at the Club on Wednesday 8 September 2021 7pm at the Haven Arms; we will be doing Oil and Water Photography!
You don’t need much. A camera. A tripod. A DSLR or mirrorless camera with a macro lens is useful (or extension tubes for your kit lens) but you can always crop your photos with other lenses or other types of camera.
You need a small amount of cooking oil to use. You’ll need a clear, clean glass container to put your oil and water in – and some way to hold your container securely in the air so that you can place colourful paper, cloth, items, etc under the container. You need to light those items using a flash, continuous lighting, or a powerful torch.
You fill your container with water. Add the oil. Then you’re ready to start shooting.
Good fun. And no two setups are really alike.
